Download the Village Church Kids CD for FREE

The Village: Kids - Jesus Came To Save Sinners The Village Church has just released a new children’s CD and you can download it for FREE here.

“Jesus Came to Save Sinners” contains five original songs that teach children about the character and nature of God and His plan to save sinners through Jesus Christ. These songs correspond with the five foundational truths – Jesus Came to Save Sinners, God is Good, God is in Charge of Everything, God Wants to Talk with Us, God Made Everything – taught each weekend in our preschool ministry, The Little Village. The mission and vision of The Little Village is “to partner with parents to build a firm spiritual foundation for their children.” Our hope is that these songs will be an effective tool in engaging your children with the truth of who God is as you endeavor to obey the biblical call to bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. (Ephesians 6:4)

Here is Love

A good friend shared this song with the iFast58 group this morning and I want to share it here. I remember first hearing Fernando Ortega’s version in college. This was a popular worship song during the Welsh Revival. Apparantly folks would sing it spontaneously, over and over as the Spirit would move. God has used it mightily in my life and I pray it will be an encouragement to you.

From my friend:

He can take a little picture of a boy whose face is sitting in a file and set his lonely heart in a family.

He can provide funds for a generator… and all the other things that need to happen to get an organization running.

He can turn hearts of those you haven’t even met with yet.

He can heal the sick, the broken, the tired and weary.

He can bind the hearts of people who live nowhere near each other and use those people for His purpose.

Oh, how He loves us… aren’t you glad?!?!

Here is love, vast as the ocean
Loving kindness as the flood
When the Prince of Life, our Ransom
Shed for us His precious blood
Who His love will not remember?
Who can cease to sing His praise?
He can never be forgotten
Throughout Heav’n’s eternal days

On the mount of crucifixion
Fountains opened deep and wide
Through the floodgates of God’s mercy
Flowed a vast a gracious tide
Grace and love, like mighty rivers
Poured incessant from above
And Heav’n’s peace and perfect justice
Kissed a guilty world in love

Chorus:
No love is higher, no love is wider
No love is deeper, no love is truer
No love is higher, no love is wider
No love is like Your love, o Lord

God of this City by Exodus + Lifechurch

The other day I posted the Daraja Children’s Choir performing ‘God of this City.‘ Here is another version of the song Hiphop/Christian contemporary style. I love the diversity! I’m not sure this will be the style of worship in heaven but it’s a step towards that in my mind!
