Oftentimes in the adoption world we can easily forget the courage and love of the birthmother. I encourage you to read my friend Michael Monroe’s reflections on birthmothers here. A friend of mine also reminded me of this video this morning.
I just learned the song “Cinderella” was written by Steven Curtis Chapman to help him (and us all) grab a hold of the special moments with those we love we might otherwise rush by. It was inspired by a bath time that he tried to “hurry,” when Maria and her sister Stevey Joy were not exactly cooperating.
This is all the more powerful today! May we be reminded and compelled by what Steven Curtis Chapman shares in this song.
