One of our church partners, Desert Springs Church, put together this great video for Orphan Sunday. Love seeing all the families who have adopted and those who have committed to adopting!

Freed to Visit Orphans

This Sunday is the first official Orphan Sunday. Churches around the country are doing different events and activities raising awareness to the needs of orphans locally and globally. I will try posting resources this week that you can make available for your church.

This video connects the glory of the Gospel (i.e., the treasure that Jesus is) with the current global orphan crisis. The video’s quotations come from Dan Cruver’s article “The Orphan Crisis: Not the Way It’s Supposed to Be”

Ugandan Adoption Journey Video

One of the exciting things about adopting from Uganda has been connecting with other families in the US, Canada, and around the world who are adopting from there as well. One of these families put together a great video of their journey. They are adopting from the same babies home that we did and so everytime I watch it I can’t help but think of our experience.

Watch it and pray for this family, and the many others. Most of all, prayer for the many, many babies waiting for a family in Uganda!
